Destry Spielberg was born on December 1st, 1996 in Los Angeles, California. Growing up in the film industry, and being surrounded by filmmakers her whole life, Destry always felt the pull to gravitate towards a career in film but as a youth she focused her efforts instead on pursuing a life as an Equestrian show jumper and Olympic hopeful. In February 2016, Destry's career came to an end after a riding accident. During her down time, she decided to tune into the little voice in her head that urged to try “the business”. She began studying acting and comedy improv. During her studies at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York she met fellow student and Writer, Echo Andersson with whom she decided to collaborate. In the fall of 2018 Rosie began to take shape and Destry made the bold decision to Direct. Now having experienced directing for herself, she can understand on a deeper level why her father does what he does and loves it. Having felt afraid to jump on the family career train, she is happy to express her excitement to grow as a young female director with hopes to inspire other young woman to make their leap of faith in whatever shape or form that may be.
Echo Andersson is a Canadian born actress and writer who knew from the age of 5 that she wanted to make movies and share her stories. She attended university in Canada and began work as a Showrunner’s assistant for Emmy nominated writer Nick Antosca on SYFY’s Channel Zero. This only cemented her resolve that she was meant to work in this industry. After 3 years on the show and some success as an actor in Canada, Echo decided that she was ready for a major life change. In the fall of 2018 she packed up her life and moved to New York City where she began studying at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film institute. Echo met Destry on her first day of classes and the two knew almost immediately that they were bound to create something beautiful together. Tired of auditioning for roles that didn’t resonate on a personal level, Echo chose to create a piece that would allow and challenge herself and Destry to grow as actors and showcase their individual talents. Echo is so thrilled to share this film with the world and is currently hard at work creating more stories to share and inspire.
